Soundside flooding has caused parts of NC12 unpassable for motorists on the north end of Ocracoke Island.

In anticipation of the inclement weather, Dare County Schools had a virtual learning day for students.

Flooding has also been reported in locations like the Tri-Villages and between the Rodanthe bridge and Etheridge Bridge on Pea Island.

Ferry service has been suspended between Hatteras and Ocracoke due to weather conditions.

Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while driving on NC12.
