As the President pointed out, he has been briefed “very specifically” by US military officials when he recently met about the establishment of the port there.
“The target is May 1, but according to the information I received it seems that there may be an end significantly earlier and it is something that will help to increase even more humanitarian aid to Gaza,” he concluded.
